This was the first coffee I ever made using a chemex. I used a 16:1 ratio to make this. I think the coffee grind I used were too fine, so I’m going to grind a much coarser batch.

Affogato
In this video I give a step by step process of how to make an Italian desert called Affogato. Simply put, its espresso over ice cream, and its delicious!
Root beer Espresso
This recipe I Stole from Doug at Because Coffee. It combines 2 shots of espresso with 1 booze o root beer. This tasted pretty good, but I feel like it would be better if the root beer was warm and the coffee was hot, and then add 1 scoop of ice cream to make a coffee root beer float.

I did not make any coffee today. However, I have spent my evening researching Kopi Luwak.
I’m definitely going to be making this coffee hopefully in December, but I am unsure if it will be before or after my final presentation. I personally will not want to make my first cup myself, I’d rather have someone more experienced than I at doing it.
Who knows.. I may just surprise somebody with the rarest most expensive coffee in the world this Christmas.

Coconut Carmel Latte
This is the most recent Latte I’ve experimented with. This latte had a cream of 2/3 milk 1/3 coconut milk w/ salted Carmel. I’m going to experiment with more creams in the future.

1st Latte
This was my first attempt at making a latte. It turned out amazing, but I have been experimenting with it these past couple days and I feel like I can make it even better. In this you can see that instead of using a steam wand for the milk, I simply boiled it and then whipped it in a French press. This turned out to be a good method, and once I use whole milk rather then 1%, it will be better. I can’t do any real latte art, but I asked someone who can to do some for me, and this method works with it if you can do it.

1st Frappuccino Attempt
This was my first attempt at my peppermint mocha frap for my project. This surprisingly turned out absolutely delicious and exceeded my expectations. However, I could easily make it better by using my mocha pot to make my espresso, as well as using more ice and using my xanthan gum simple syrup to make it more like a frap, rather than a gas station icee. I made this coffee step by step in the video with audio instructions if you want to try to make this at home. I will make an updated version of this soon, so stay tuned.

Bean roaster
This video shows the cooling process of the coffee beans after being roasted. I took this video while gathering photos for the background of the blog, so I figured I’d share it here.

Whipped Cream
This was my most recent experiment for my project. In the video I was testing different cream recipes to use for my Frappuccino style of coffee. I tested two different flavors, those being French Vanilla and Orange Cream. For this recipe I used
2 cups of heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
A splash of Pure Vanilla Extract
And for the orange cream
A couple squirts of Orange Extract
After a light whisking of the ingredients, I used my Nitro Whipper to Cream them, and this worked out amazingly. I will be testing different flavors in the future. The next one to test will be either a peppermint or chocolate cream flavor.
Nitro Cold Brew Shoutout
This was my most recent attempt with my Nitro Cold Brew coffee. I made this coffee for Ty at Because Coffee, and he loved it enough to give me a shoutout on the company Instagram. This Nitro Cold Brew turned out PERFECT and there were no mistakes that I could’ve made in this attempt. I’d say that I have mastered this style of coffee, and I hope I can continue to make this type of coffee with the proper technique in further demonstrations. However, accidents do happen sometimes.

2nd attempt at Nitro Cold Brew
This was my second recorded attempt at Nitro Cold Brew. In this attempt I Cold Brew blend from Because Coffee, and I served coffee to myself and the owner. The mistakes I made in this attempt stemmed from the last attempt. In this one I held the brewer too verticals and I squeezed the throttle too little.
First Time With Nitro Cold Brew
This was my First attempt with my Nitro brewer a month or so ago. In the recording I showed that I had no idea what I was doing, but I did learn many things from this first attempt. I learned that I needed to shake the canister after attaching the nitrogen. I also learned that the angle that I hold it plays a part, as well as how hard I squeeze the throttle.
